Connect More Apps
The great news for educators is that new education apps are being added all the time, such as Lucidchart, a mind-mapping app, or GeoGebra, a mathematics app. These "add-ons" can be found and installed when you click New within Google Drive (see image, right. Click to enlarge). Simply select "Connect more apps" from the bottom of the list. Students can also easily install these apps and link them to their own GAFE accounts.
Many of these tools behave in the same way as the regular GAFE apps, in that multiple users can collaborate in real-time, and saved automatically in the cloud on Drive. Administrators can control which apps are available within an organization. |
LucidChart & MindMup
Lucidchart and MindMup are great tools for collaborative mind-maps.

Geogebra
GeoGebra is an interactive mathematics (geometry, algebra, calculus) application, useful for collaborative learning in mathematics and science. Due to the robust nature of GeoGebra as a stand-alone application, some users may find that there are some limitations to using it within Google Drive. Installing it in Google Drive is a nice way to 'test drive' GeoGebra to see if it might be something you could use in your classroom on a regular basis.
